The Lindisfarne Inn is the ideal base to explore Northumberland and the Scottish Borders’ many attractions. The Lindisfarne Inn is a short drive or cycle along a quiet country lane from the causeway leading to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne.

You’ll find the area surrounding The Lindisfarne Inn is packed full of things to do and places to visit like Bamburgh Castle, the Farne Islands, Alnwick Garden as well as the Elizabethan walled town of Berwick upon Tweed.

The Lindisfarne Inn is located on the new Sandstone Way, Northumberland’s newest cycle route stretching 120 miles between Berwick upon Tweed – just to the north of The Lindisfarne Inn - and Hexham along the Sandstone Ridge in North Northumberland linking numerous sandstone features, crags and outcrops. The Sustrans Coast & Castles route also passes our door, and The Lindisfarne Inn prides itself on being Cyclists and Walkers welcome.

Also passing close by are the famous walking routes of St. Oswald’s Way and St. Cuthbert’s Way. The Lindisfarne Inn is happy to collect and drop off walkers on these routes in our courtesy bus, subject to availability.
